Hello! I’m Evan, a patient and easy-going Math and ESL Coach with over 5 years of experience, specializing in a diverse range of subjects. From Elementary and Middle School Math to Algebra and Geometry, I have a strong foundation in Mathematics. I also have around 10 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). I have helped many people become fluent in the English language.

As a Freshman in College I started tutoring Algebra and Calculus to make some extra money. It beat getting a job with a boss and it helped me develop a teaching style. I love teaching the foundations of math and the "why", because without them you have no building blocks to stand on in later math classes. My main focus is Elementary/Middle School/Geometry/Prealgebra/Algebra 1.

I also teach an interactive conversational style of English. I have taught students from Venezuela, Panama, Peru, Brazil, Latvia, Iran, Israel and Ukraine. I am certified with a C1 Advanced Spanish level from Nueva Lengua Spanish School in Medellin, Colombia. Having learned a language myself, I understand what it takes to become fluent. With my background in Spanish I am a perfect teacher to anyone with Spanish or Portugese as their native language but I can teach any background.

As an English language tutor my expertise extends to writing, reading, proofreading, and grammar tutoring. I teach techniques to nurture strong written and verbal communication skills to my students. If you are looking to improve conversational skills or grammatical English I am a perfect fit. We can also focus on advanced concepts like slang/everyday phrases and common English idioms that you will hear in pop culture, music and movies.

My tutoring style combines patience, encouragement, fun and customized strategies to cater to diverse learning styles. I create a supportive and interactive environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and conquer any challenges.
