I have tutored at the local college for dosage calculations. I feel strong about student's doing well in dosage calculations because it is a requirement in his or her job to know calculations of medications when they administer them to patients or clients.

Being a nurse for 30 years has given me plenty of experience to be a nursing tutor. The vast majority of those years has been in the Obstetrical area.
I have always loved to sew, crosstitch, knit and just learning to crochet. I make mittens for the Adopt a Family program here in our town.
My students that I have say that I'm easy to get along with and easy to speak with. They also told me that I want the students to learn and I explain things fully to them in order for them to understand the concepts. I'm also told from my students that's it apparent I love my job and love being a nurse. They tell me I'm very knowledgeable in my field. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been knitting since I was four years old, I was taught by my mom who was knitting the majority of her life as well. My mother taught me how to make mittens, scarves, sweaters and afghans along with pillows. I also knit for the needy in my home town. I have donated knitted mittens to the needy children in my town, the Adopt a Family program and to foster homes.
