Throughout my studies, I learned how to approach complex problems step by step, identify patterns, and apply efficient strategies, and these same skills form the foundation of how I help students succeed.
While at Wayne State University, I volunteered as a tutor for students who were struggling in their math and computer science courses. I worked individually and in small groups, helping students prepare for exams, strengthen their understanding of core topics, and build confidence in their abilities. Supporting learners with different backgrounds and learning styles taught me how to explain concepts clearly, adapt to the student in front of me, and break down difficult ideas into simple, manageable steps. Even though many of the students I previously worked with were in college, the core approach translates seamlessly to SAT Math: guiding learners to understand the “why” behind each problem, not just the steps.

I like to walk students through problems in a logical way, showing them how to interpret questions, avoid common traps, and use strategies that improve both accuracy and speed. I emphasize clarity, steady progress, and targeted practice, making sure each session is aligned with the student’s specific needs. My goal is not only to help students raise their scores, but also to help them feel confident, capable, and prepared when they walk into the SAT exam room.
