In my years as an elementary teacher I taught 4th grade, and have experience tutoring 2nd-5th graders. My approach to teaching includes small group work as well as one-on-one focus, providing enrichment opportunities for those students who excelled as well as opportunities for extra practice to ensure none of my students fell behind. Additionally, I offered tutoring opportunities outside of the normal school day. In this setting, I'd work with students (and parents) to determine areas of focus.
