Hi, I’m Patience! I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and curiosity in English and history. I hold a Master’s degree in Anthropology with a specialization in Museum Practice, along with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Psychology and a minor in English. My academic and professional background gives me a strong foundation in writing, critical thinking, and historical analysis—all skills I love to share with my students.
I currently work as an Associate Exhibits Curator at a Holocaust museum, where I research, write, and design educational materials for both students and adults. Before that, I taught college-level courses, guided museum tours, and tutored students from elementary through high school in reading, writing, and history. These experiences have taught me how to adapt my approach to different learning styles and make complex topics more accessible and engaging.
As a tutor, my goal is to create a supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, practicing new skills, and making mistakes as they grow. Whether it’s breaking down a challenging history concept, strengthening essay writing, or developing reading strategies, I tailor my lessons to meet each student’s unique needs and goals.
If you’re looking for a patient, encouraging tutor who will help you succeed while keeping learning meaningful and engaging, I’d love to work with you!
