I have a bachelor's degree in History and Anthropology with a minor in Mathematics, as well as a Master's degree in Anthropology with an emphasis on data analysis, genetics, and evolution. I taught for two years in the university classroom setting while also helping students one-on-one during my office hours. One area in which I excelled during this time was helping to improve my students' writing skills over the course of my time working with them. As both an instructor and a graduate student, I have engaged with academic writing frequently during my career and have been able to successfully teach my writing and research method to others. As an instructor, I am very adaptive to my students needs.
I am comfortable teaching a variety of subject areas, though my strongest subjects are Math, Spanish, and Writing. I am capable of teaching all levels of high school math, as well as college Calculus. I have been learning and speaking Spanish for 19 years and did all of my archeological fieldwork in Spain, which has provided me with a robust foundation in the language and the best ways to teach it to English speakers.
I look forward to helping you learn and grow as a student while preparing you for the future!
