My name is Andrew and I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Climatic Studies with a minor in math from the Ohio State University. I also have a Master of Engineering Degree from Case Western Reserve University. Therefore, I have extensive coursework in just about any math discipline you can think of plus many branches of physics.

Math and Physics can be tough subjects to learn in a classroom setting if you don't get much personal attention. When I was struggling with a math class in school, I had a neighbor who was a high school math teacher who was kind enough to tutor me. The personal attention she gave me helped me to understand the concepts being taught in class much more clearly as well as helped to foster my love for math and science. Because I knew how beneficial tutoring was to me, I wanted to help people the way I had been helped. Therefore, I have been tutoring students in math and physics since my junior year of high school. I am here and ready to help you with your Physics, Algebra, Calculus, Linear Algebra, and/or Differential Equations. I also have extensive experience with the AP Physics and AP Calculus curricula.

I have taken my love for problem solving and math and am applying it to play poker as a full time profession so I can also help you understand real world uses for these problems, both conventional and unconventional. My desire is to get students to understand the concepts because I know how important learning the concepts of any subject is to mastering that subject. I've learned that once you understand the concepts, it can actually make that subject fun, or at least can give you more confidence to receive a good grade in a tough course.

If you need help with an assignment, studying for a test, or general help in your subject area, please reach out. My style of teaching is based on the way that best suits your style of learning. I am readily available to help out, even in a pinch.

Calculus

Calculus

I have been through just about any math class you could hope for before the abstract math classes. I also have years of experience tutoring middle school math all the way to linear algebra and differential equations. My main areas of expertise (and most hours tutored) are in the algebra disciplines and calculus, especially AP Calculus.
Golf

Golf

As a child I was lucky enough that my parents were able to provide a full time golf teacher for me during each summer from the time I was 11 until I was 18. We worked together at least 4+ days a week (all days when I wasn't playing in a tournament) for around 8 hours a day during those summers. We would go to the range, practice short game, then go out and play so I have plenty of experience receiving coaching and have given coaching to many others.
Physics

Physics

Ever since the first time I took a physics class in high school I've had a passion for it and the problem solving that comes with it. I have taken that passion through a undergraduate and graduate degrees but wanted to help instill that passion for others and tutoring is a great way for me to do that. I have extensive experience with high school level physics (including AP Physics B and C) as well as college level physics.
Poker

Poker

I started playing poker when I was in the 3rd grade very shortly after watching Chris Moneymaker win the World Series of Poker Main Event. However, within the past 6 or so years I have really started to study the game at another level. I have recorded hundreds of thousands of hands of various forms (hold'em, omaha, omaha hi/lo, 7 card stud, 7 card stud hi/lo) of poker over the past 5 years and am a winning tournament player in all variants listed but have the most playing and studying experience in Texas Hold'em. I am very comfortable with positional play, preflop ranges, bet/raise sizings and strategies both pre and post flop, short stacked play, and much more, especially when it comes to tournaments (both sit & gos and multi table tournaments).

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

The basics of pre flop betting. He was good at explaining the process and how it relates to the rest of the game. I look forward to my next session. I would recommend Andrew to anyone looking for a tutor in any subject that he teaches.

My Son likes him.

Andrew helped explain and prepare my son for his test. My son is in 12th grade has missed some school and needed help catching up. Andrew was very responsive and scheduled quickly. My son said he understood and he did a good job teaching the information he needed.
