Hello! My name is Caylin and I'm a nurse with a variety of nursing experiences in the past 10 years including med/surg, progressive care, intensive care, leadership, and management. I'm currently a nurse manager of two med/surg units at a large hospital where I enjoy mentoring new nurses through the first couple years of their nursing career.

My overall goal as a nursing tutor is to help you build a solid foundation that you will be able to build upon with time and experience. I'm passionate about helping nursing students connect the dots and gain an in depth understanding of the science and art behind nursing. Often times, new nurses struggle in their first year of nursing because of the way subjects are taught in school. It's not always clear how everything connects thus making nursing school a struggle for many. Allow me to help fill in the blanks and aid in weaving the web that is nursing science.

I hold a PCCN-K certification from the AACN. In order to maintain this certification I have to complete 100 hours of continuing education every three years and hold a position where I impact the care of acutely ill adult patients. As a nurse manager with 10 years of nursing experience in a variety of specialties I lead and mentor a team of 110 healthcare professionals daily. I help nurses troubleshoot issues, work through complex real-life scenarios, and navigate the ever changing healthcare industry.
