As someone who suffers from math anxiety, I was crestfallen when I learned that I would be required to take precalculus. I dreaded the prospect of having to spend another year struggling to complete the assigned homework with a passing grade. However, through Max’s guidance, this dread morphed into a feeling of empowerment. Max’s ceaseless positivity, coupled with his witty jokes, alleviated much of the anxiety I felt about the course material. With Max’s help, I found myself adopting a new mentality when tackling seemingly insurmountable math problems, and instead of buckling under the stress, I found myself rising to the occasion. Excellent Tutor!
My son is trying to catch up on Math after being out of school for medical issues. We have essentially been on our own trying to get him caught up and we got a bit stuck in a chapter where I knew my old math ways were not going to help. A quick outreach to Max and a bit of background and he jumped right in and got my son through the specific topic he was stuck on. It helped his confidence and moved us through a very frustrating patch. I will absolutely reach out to Max again. He presents very kindly and clearly appreciates how math can be intimidating so he leads with an intentional assurance that he is there to help.
