Secondary Mathematics!

I am thrilled to introduce myself and to provide you with a brief background of my qualifications. I began my secondary education coursework at the University of Michigan School of Education in an effort to ultimately pursue my goal of becoming a mathematics teacher. I currently teach at the middle school level and am certified in grades 6-12 in both mathematics and psychology.

I am pleased to share that, for me, grade school was one of the most memorable and engaging periods in my life as a young adult, hence my interest in teaching secondary education. I have experience tutoring elementary-age students to college-level peers. I worked as a mathematics peer consultant in the Kalamazoo College Math-Physics center during the course of my undergraduate education while at the same time pursued one-on-one tutoring with high school students from the surrounding area. I currently serve as a student ambassador for the University of Michigan School of Education, communicating, recruiting, and advocating for education. In my spare time, I continue to tutor and instruct various learners. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Kalamazoo College and a second bachelor’s in secondary education from the University of Michigan, it is needless to say that I thoroughly enjoy mathematics!

I am confident in my capabilities and willingness to help all learners. I am eager to have the opportunity to interact with you and/or your son/daughter. I would gladly welcome the opportunity to meet with you in person to discuss my qualifications and answer any questions you may have.
