Mark V.

Greetings! I am Dr. Mark V. and I am excited to help students win in their education and future. As I have been teaching college students for years, I have been able to open their eyes to how history, communication, art and writing comes to life as we learn. My passion is to see students discover that they can learn the subjects that I teach, discover that their educational experience can change their lives, and that they in return can help others learn what they have learned at all levels.

My specialty is religious studies, history, social studies, public speaking and many subjects related to these. I have seen students go from not understanding, for example, how to speak effectively in front of groups to becoming an articulate public speaker able to effectively communicate various topics. I have coached students who are at the high school level, college level as well as faculty members at the University I teach at. Since students have a variety of learning styles, I adapt my instructional methods to fit the need of the students in each tutoring and group session; I enjoy using multiple methods to meet multiple needs. Whether it is using a video clip, an interactive activity or individual activities that are engaging and helpful, my approach to learning is personal and supportive.

Overall, I provide a non-judgmental, supportive and student focused approach to achieving the student's goals and objectives; I want each student to win in their learning process and to help them to see that they can excel with enough support and guidance. In addition, I have a wealth of resources, content for each subject and learning tools that will help you as the student or your student (parents) go far in their educational journey.
