I am a psychology student at Central Michigan University with a strong academic foundation in the subjects I tutor. My coursework has emphasized critical thinking, research methods, and clear communication of complex concepts. In addition to my formal education, I have hands-on experience supporting learners across multiple age groups.
I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I currently work as a swim coach for youth athletes, where I teach foundational skills, break down complex movements into manageable steps, and adapt instruction to different learning styles. I have also worked as a learning specialist assistant, where I helped design and deliver educational activities for K–12 students in classroom and camp environments. Additionally, I have provided academic support to high school students.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. I focus on meeting students where they are, using clear step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and confidence-building strategies to help students become independent learners. I have experience working with younger students, teens, and peers, and I am especially comfortable supporting students who feel anxious or overwhelmed with academic material.
