Hello! I am a neurosurgery resident with an M.D. and a bachelors degree in human biology. I scored above the 95th percentile on the MCAT and USMLE examinations, and have a true passion for tutoring, mentoring, and crafting highly personalized study plans for the students I tutor. I tutor medical students on STEP 1 and STEP 2, COMLEX, and 3rd year shelf examinations. I cap the amount of students I tutor at 5, to ensure highly personalized and attentive service. For this reason, spots are limited and very competitive. I do about 1-2 hours of pre-work before each session that is included in the cost of the session. I am highly involved in the pedagogical structuring of university level science courses, and use this insight to provide students with highly effective, and proven learning techniques, no matter the students learning style. My strengths as a tutor include fine tuning the study plan according to the students strengths and weaknesses, dedicating ample time to preparing for each session outside of our allotted time, and being personable. During medical school I tutored dozens of students, and have dedicated nearly 200 hours to tutoring in the last 6 years, but am newer to Wyzant.
