My name is Collin S. and I'm a rising senior studying Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University. Before I attended Kettering, I previously went to school at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor where I graduated with a degree in Spanish Language and Literature. My love of learning was the motivating factor behind my unique path through academia and I would hope to instill that same passion on any student who could use my services.
While at Kettering University, I have acted as a Supplemental Instructor in Physics and have been trying to engage in tutoring other students in Mechanical Engineering coursework. When I attended UofM, I was employed by the Natural History Museum on campus and was involved in teaching guests of all ages about the natural sciences ( i.e. Astronomy, Paleontology, Geology, Biology and Ecology) for almost four years. I have always put forth a great effort in my STEM related coursework and I am very confident that I could help any student develop fundamental skills that will help them to succeed in the Math's and Sciences. Also while at UofM, I hosted weekly Spanish discussion sessions so that students could come together and improve their conversational Spanish.
I am a senior level student pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree and so I am very knowledgeable when it comes to the Math's and Sciences (both high school and collegiate level). Having previously taken both the SAT and ACT, I know the rigors involved with preparing and studying for these tests and would even be willing to assist with any college application work that a student might need.
I have a degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. My fluency in Spanish has well equipped me to be able to help just about anyone learn the language - whether you need help writing, speaking, reading or using correct grammar, I am an ideal tutor for you!
