With a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and over six years of certified classroom teaching experience, I bring a well-rounded and versatile educational background to any tutoring or instructional role. For the past four years, I have taught in a self-contained elementary classroom for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, focusing on individualized learning strategies that support academic growth, communication development, and behavioral engagement. Prior to that, I spent two years teaching high school English and Math, where I differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and incorporated creative strategies to build student confidence and comprehension across content areas.
Beyond the traditional classroom, I have over 14 years of experience in theatre and vocal performance, both onstage and behind the scenes. My background includes working in professional theatres, directing youth productions, and coaching students in acting, voice, and creative storytelling. These experiences have equipped me to tutor students in all areas of performing arts—including acting technique, monologue and scene study, vocal performance, and playwriting—as well as in creative and academic writing, with a particular strength in K-12 English Language Arts.
My instructional approach is deeply student-centered, rooted in patience, flexibility, and a strong belief in building from individual strengths. Whether working one-on-one or in group settings, I prioritize a supportive environment where learners feel safe to explore and grow. My experience spans a range of ages—from early elementary through high school—and contexts, including inclusive classrooms, individualized interventions, and enrichment-focused theatre education. I am confident in my ability to support learners academically, artistically, and personally through thoughtful, creative, and evidence-based instruction.
