Knowledgeable, patient, relatable
Matthew tutors my son in AP US History. My son loves his help because he isn’t the typical “teacher”. He does “tell” him what to know in a demanding teacher way or tone. Matthew engages him in conversation and asks him things more than tells him things. Matthew has a way to lead him to understanding through conversation. I would highly recommend him.

Matthew tutored my daughter in AP US History. They mostly focused on preparing for class exams. He is extremely knowledgeable and shared some great strategies for the AP exam questions. She found the strategies to be helpful for other courses as well. He was patient with her but also challenged her to share her own knowledge. Most importantly, I think he helped her build confidence in herself which improved her success in the course. I highly recommend Matthew!

Matthew is Amazing
My 15 year old son has been taking consistent lessons on AP Euro with Matthew since September. Matthew employs a regimen which keeps students on track and consistently engaged. The lessons are substantive and rigorous, while at the same time fun. Matthew encourages critical thinking and my son has begun putting together the pieces of big picture history. It’s beautiful to see. “Mom, this is the best class I’ve had, in or out of school.” highly recommend.
