Hello! My name is Issa & I would love to be your tutor. I’ve had a passion for computers since my early teens & I’ve been working on them for over 20 years in both a personal & a professional setting. I graduated from a local college with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & an Associate’s degree in Computer Networking.
For the past 20 years, I’ve taught & tutored people of all ages how to understand & use computers to their advantage. I’ve covered everything from OS installation to how to build a computer to how to troubleshoot them. I’ve also trained people on how to use their various devices (such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.) & alternative operating systems such as Android, MacOS, & iOS.
My area of tutoring expertise is the I.T. field & tech in general. I’ve gained extensive knowledge of this field due to my passion for it & from my 19-year career in this field. I currently work for a software company & part of my job involves buying & setting up a server with Linux so our software can run. That includes setting up NGINX, MariaDB & a firewall to help secure it.
I can tutor you on both the hardware & software side when it comes to this field. I am proficient in Microsoft Windows & Debian based Linux distro’s such as Ubuntu & plain Debian. I am no stranger to the Linux terminal or Bash scripting & can help you better understand how those work along with the ins & out of Windows. In my recent tutoring experience, I taught how to setup a Linux server environment for web development.
I realize everyone is different, so I try to tailor my one-on-one tutoring approach to each person, adjust my approach if necessary & most importantly, take my time with them. I am a firm believer that everyone is teachable, it just takes patience & the right approach. So, whether you are a beginner, trying to get ahead, or working on a project, I can help.
