I have past experience as a reading tutor. My students were adults from all walks of life. Although I enjoy helping others with their reading challenges, I would also like to become a history tutor. I am a history major, and would very much like to share my knowledge of history with others. My primary history interests are American Indian, Africana Studies, and the Holocaust. My approach to tutoring allows the student to learn at his/her own pace. We all have a different approach to learning. I recognize that my students have individual styles of learning. For example, one student may need constant reassurance that he/she is on the right track, while another might like to work alone and ask questions later. I let the student choose his/her form of tutoring.
