I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years working on location, in the studio, and in the darkroom.
After graduating high school, I attended Media Arts in New York City and obtained a certificate in Commercial Photography.
My first job was staff photographer for the Dearborn Times-Herald. After being laid off, I moved back to New York and lived there for 11 years. During that time I worked as a photo assistant for several photographers, a staff photographer for a catalog studio, and finally ran my own business photographing commercial real estate for appraisal reports and advertising, as well as freelancing for several neighborhood newspapers and small businesses.
Since returning to Detroit, I've done freelance work for many local newspapers and small businesses and continue to do work in the real estate industry.
I also teach photography at Macomb Community College. My students are both young and older, beginner to more advanced.
My work has appeared in many art shows and exhibitions. I'm also a member of the Detroit Artists Market.
