Hi I'm Natalie! I recently graduated with my Masters degree in Environmental Science from University of Michigan, and I have a Bachelors degree in Economics from University of Pittsburgh. I have 3+ years of tutoring and teaching experience at the undergraduate level. I served as a peer tutor for 2 years in subjects like Intro to Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Calculus, Economics, and Statistics. As a peer tutor, I worked one-on-one with undergraduate students to help them work through homework problems. My approach is to ask you a lot of questions about your thought process so that I can help you identify patterns and develop strategies to solve math and science problems on your own!

I have worked with many pre-professional students (especially pre-med) who are so passionate about the work that they want to do, but they're struggling to get through the core science and math classes. I am an encouraging teacher who just wants to see you thrive and be able to accomplish your goals - even if it feels like those core requirements are standing in your way. I also served for 3 semesters as a teaching assistant for Chemistry and Statistics courses, where I led office hours to help students work through problems and graded weekly assignments, giving me insight into what professors at the college level are looking for!

I also have experience working with students at the high school level and younger - while in college I served as a mentor for high school students, and I also worked with kids ages K-12 at a science center, where I fostered their passion for learning through engaging science experiments and exhibits. I'm experienced at working with students in person as well as online, since I attended college during covid and started leading tutoring sessions over Zoom and other teaching platforms.
