Hi, I'm Juniper! I have a Mathematics PhD from UCLA and I've been tutoring for 12+ years now. I focus on making a welcoming environment for students where they can feel comfortable enough to make mistakes. I think mistakes are how we learn!
A bit of history: I graduated Carnegie Mellon in 2017 with a 4.0 GPA, Master's and Bachelors in Mathematics, and went on to UCLA where I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics by doing novel mathematics research in the field of functional analysis.

I began tutoring in undergrad at Carnegie Mellon, working with small groups of college students mostly focused on linear algebra. I also began as a teaching assistant there, leading classes of around 30 students. I've done plenty of one-on-one tutoring since then, with students from middle school to older people in the middle of career changes. It was at UCLA where I did a lot more tutoring and work as a teaching assistant. I've been a teaching assistant for linear algebra, calculus, multivariable calculus, pre-calculus, analysis, differential equations, and introduction to proofs, and tutored numerous math courses.
I've tutored folks with a wide range of strengths and weaknesses, and can adapt my lessons accordingly. I bring nearly a decade of classroom experience, so I know what teachers are looking for, how tests are designed, and how to get the grade you want!
