I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies education and am a certified teacher. My academic background focuses on history, government, and the social sciences, along with training in instructional design and differentiated learning strategies. This foundation allows me to break down complex topics into clear, engaging lessons that meet students at their level while still challenging them to grow.
I have been working in education since 2013, teaching and coaching students in both classroom and athletic settings. I have experience teaching middle and high school students in a traditional classroom environment, as well as supporting learners one-on-one and in small groups. My approach focuses on building understanding through real-world connections, guided practice, and consistent feedback. I also emphasize study skills, organization, and confidence, helping students not only learn the material but improve how they approach learning overall.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have spent years coaching student-athletes, which has shaped my ability to connect with a wide range of learners and adapt to different learning styles. I regularly work with students of varying ability levels, from those needing foundational support to those aiming to improve performance and grades. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive, structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing critical thinking skills, and gaining confidence in their academic abilities.
