For me to be able to engage with foreign students and families is as much a privilege as it is an opportunity, for every student who is learning can also help the instructor learn even more. This is the foundation through which anyone can continue to learn, but for students learning English and exchanging with another society, it is of great importance that the students engage not only on a cognitive level, but a social and critical thinking level as well. Learning English is often the first step (albeit a major one) to enriching ones life, expanding ones opportunities, and helping themselves now and for the future.
