Hello! My name is Emmanuel, and I am currently a sophomore at Michigan State University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have a strong background in mathematics and have successfully completed Calculus I with a 4.0 and Calculus II with a 3.5. I am currently taking Calculus III and continuing to build my mathematical knowledge. During high school, I spent two years tutoring middle school students, primarily in math, and also helped fellow high school students with subjects such as Algebra and Precalculus. These experiences helped me develop the ability to explain mathematical concepts in different ways to accommodate each student's learning style.
My tutoring approach focuses on helping students understand the reasoning behind mathematical concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas or steps. I know that math can be challenging when certain concepts are difficult to grasp, so I aim to create a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes. I use strategies that have helped me succeed in my own math classes and adapt my explanations to each student's needs. Whether you need help with homework, want to prepare for an upcoming test, or would like to strengthen your understanding of a particular topic, my goal is to help you improve your grades, build confidence, and become a more independent learner. I look forward to helping you succeed in math!
