Hi, my name is Ramneet! I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2022 with a BS in Microbiology and matriculated to medical school in Detroit after graduating. I am currently a fourth year medical student! I previously tutored undergraduate students in biology during my time at the University of Michigan and I also have a lot of experience with mentoring others, ranging from children to pre-med and medical students. My approach to tutoring is to be there as a support system for students, not giving them the answers, but empowering them to approach problems in the way that works best for them. I acknowledge that everyone learns differently, so I strive to work with students to help them discover what they need to succeed.
During my time at the University of Michigan, I tutored undergraduate students in biology. This was done in a one-on-one setting, during which I reviewed concepts from the current week of the course and assisted them through exam-style practice questions. I also have a lot of experience working with children age 5-12 from teaching in a program called FitKids, which was done in both a group setting and one-on-one. In this program, we taught students about nutrition and health, both physical and mental. From this experience, I have learned a lot about how to specifically tailor teaching to children of various ages, as well as how to balance teaching with wellness. Once again, I hope to work with you or your child(ren) to empower them to succeed in the way that works best for them!
