I love teaching science and math skills, having been tutoring in the field since I was in high school myself, and currently volunteer in tutoring basic math and reading skills to elementary school students through various organizations. I am a current undergraduate Neuroscience major who has scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and the 97th percentile on the ACT while taking AP Biology, Calculus AB & BC, AP Physics, and more. I typically assign homework problems each week for students to return completed for review in the next session before we learn new material. I often make room for questions a student may have that deviate from the lesson plan but can be deemed relevant and beneficial to helping them better understand key concepts. I like to take breaks in between sessions to help students better retain information, and then have a summarizing exercise to help them apply what they learned.
