After obtaining a bachelors in Microbiology, I decided to pursue a doctorate in Molecular Biology at Wayne State University, where I am currently a Ph.D. candidate about to defend my dissertation. At Wayne state, apart from conducting my dissertation research, I have taught Genetics for many semesters, and currently teach the subject to junior, senior and post-Bac students across multiple semesters.
I pride myself in being able to make complex concepts simpler by breaking down the logic inherent in each concept. I have won numerous awards for my teaching but more importantly, I believe each student is unique and I adjust my teaching style to ensure I am helping each student unlock their best when engaging with genetics.
Aside from teaching Genetics as a job, I sincerely enjoy this subject, enjoy conversing about it and teaching it. As someone who took Genetics as an undergrad student myself, I find it easy to communicate the logic behind Genetics and guide the students towards unlocking their understanding of this interesting subject.
I would welcome hearing from you to set up an initial appointment, and would be glad to answer any questions you may have to see if I am a good fit to elevate your understanding of Genetics.
