I am a 2033 FIDE-rated chess player (with a peak rating of 2152) with a strong competitive background. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science from the University of Michigan–Dearborn, and I bring an analytical and structured mindset into my chess instruction. I competed seriously in tournament chess through high school, gaining experience in high-pressure environments and developing a solid foundation for the game.

During my competitive years, I had the opportunity to play against several elite junior players who have since gone on to become among the world’s top professionals, including R. Praggnanandhaa and Arjun Erigaisi. Competing at that level required disciplined preparation, strong fundamentals, and the ability to think critically in complex positions. These experiences continue to shape how I approach the game and how I help students think through practical decisions at the board.

One area I particularly enjoy teaching is the endgame. In one memorable tournament game, despite being completely lost out of the opening, I was able to find counterplay and nearly save a draw through precise endgame technique. After the game, my opponent even remarked that I could have been his endgame coach. Moments like this reinforced my belief that endgames reward understanding, patience, and resourcefulness, and I emphasize these qualities when working with students.

While my formal coaching experience is limited, I have worked individually with a small number of students (aged between 10 and 14) and found that I enjoy explaining ideas through real examples and stories from my own chess journey. I believe chess is best learned through understanding rather than memorization, using game analysis and personalized feedback to support steady improvement. My goal is to create a supportive and fun learning environment where students of all levels can build confidence and learn to genuinely enjoy the game.

Basketball

Basketball

I’ve been playing basketball recreationally since childhood, spending years practicing at local parks and developing strong shooting fundamentals. I enjoy helping beginners learn proper form, footwork, and confidence on the court in a relaxed, encouraging environment. I focus on making basketball fun while teaching the basics step by step, especially for kids who are new to the game. My goal is to help students improve their skills, stay active, and enjoy learning basketball without pressure.
Chess

Chess

I am a 2033 FIDE-rated chess player with a strong competitive background and a deep understanding of all phases of the game, especially endgames. I competed seriously in tournament chess through high school and had the opportunity to play against elite players such as R. Praggnanandhaa and Arjun Erigaisi, who are now among the world’s top professionals. I enjoy teaching chess through clear explanations, game analysis, and practical examples drawn from my own playing experience. My approach emphasizes understanding, critical thinking, and learning how to find resources even in difficult or seemingly lost positions.
Soccer

Soccer

I played as a striker in middle and high school through my school’s futsal and indoor soccer clubs, where I built strong fundamentals and teamwork skills. I enjoy helping younger players and beginners learn basic techniques like passing, ball control, positioning, and shooting in a supportive environment. I focus on keeping sessions positive, encouraging, and fun while helping students build confidence on the field. My goal is to help players develop skills, stay active, and enjoy the game.
Swimming

Swimming

I grew up in the countryside and learned to swim in deep water environments such as rivers and lakes, which helped me develop strong water confidence and safety awareness. While I never competed, I’m comfortable teaching basic swimming skills, floating, breathing, freestyle and backstroke. I take a calm, reassuring approach that helps beginners feel relaxed and confident, especially those who may feel nervous around water. My goal is to help students become safe, comfortable swimmers while building trust and confidence at their own pace.
