Post retirement I trained and became a Michigan certified mathematics teacher-coach. This involved working with over 17 different schools, in various school districts, assisting school administrators with developing school improvement plans. Specifically working in the mathematics classroom, coaching teachers to improve effectiveness.
I was also involved in a variety of school planning committees, as well as conducting numerous staff training sessions. I very much enjoyed and still do being involved with young people in the very important endeavor of learning mathematics content and application.
