I’ve been tutoring math for over five years, helping students feel more confident and capable with every session. Over that time, I’ve worked with students who just need a quick homework boost as well as those seeking long-term support to master challenging topics. I love figuring out how each student learns best and adjusting my approach so the lightbulb finally goes off.

I earned my degree in Secondary Math and English Education from Hope College, where I focused on learning how to teach in ways that really work, not just cover material. Because I’m trained in both math and English, I bring a creative and flexible approach to problem-solving that helps students look at math from new angles.
I specialize in working with middle and high school students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. I especially love teaching geometry because it allows students to visualize math and build logical reasoning skills that carry into other areas of learning. During sessions, I use a mix of visuals, interactive practice, and step-by-step problem solving so students don’t just memorize procedures, they truly understand the “why” behind the math.
I’m also passionate about ACT and SAT Math prep. Over the past few years, I’ve helped more than 500 students improve their scores by teaching proven strategies, time-saving calculator techniques, and how to use Desmos effectively on the SAT. My goal is to make test prep clear and approachable, breaking down tough problems into manageable steps so students can work faster and with more confidence on test day.
Most importantly, I care about helping students feel supported. I’m patient, encouraging, and happy to explain things in different ways until they click. My goal is for every student to walk away from a session not only knowing more math but also believing in themselves a little more.
