I am 23 years old and I attended Olivet College up until last year, when I received my Bachelor's degree in English/Language Arts for Elementary Education.
As soon as I get my teaching certificate notarized by the county I will be certified to teach in any Michigan school K-5 (all subjects) and 6-8 (English/Language Arts).
I finished my student teaching, in order to receive my degree, at Horizon Elementary in Holt, MI in two separate third grade classrooms. I have experience differentiating instruction, working with students who have learning disabilities, and being patient with even the most outlandish child.
I am highly qualified in English, first off, due to my degree. Beyond that, however, I have always had a passion for English - especially, reading and writing.
While at Olivet College I was published in the literary magazine, The Garfield Lake Review. And my junior year at Olivet I wrote a ten page paper on the usage of you versus thou in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and it was selected to be presented at the Medieval Renaissance Consortium.
