Hello there. I am Jonathan, and have spent the last 25+ years in realm of biology as a research scientist.

I was bitten by the science spider when I was 16 and had an amazing biology teacher who made science fascinating and fun and from that moment forward I was hooked! I would like to pay it forward and impart my knowledge to others interested in science, those in pursuit of a scientific-oriented career, and students that need help with their science courses or homework.

I completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the UK before completing my first postdoctoral research position in the US. Since then, I’ve pursued several scientific positions in various academic and private industry settings.

In my academic positions, I have tutored several undergraduate and graduate students in the art of science, the scientific method, hypothesis setting, and data analysis and interpretation. In addition, I have published several scientific articles, given poster and platform presentations at national and international scientific meetings, and perform peer review service for several scientific journals.

Although my tutoring style would be dependent on experience and age, I like to make learning fun and engaging and have the ability to break down complex scientific processes into more digestible material to help with learning and retention.
