Career Development

Having worked at CWRU as an instructor/ preceptor with CWRUEMS I have been able to mentor and teach a variety of student in academic and practical skills. Having a B.S. in Biology also means that I have a deeper understanding of the medical within and can effectively teach students. I strive in create test like scenarios and NREMT specific questions that ensure that not only will they succeed on their test but also in real life.

Chemistry

Teaching Experience – Taught 100+ students as AHA-BLS Instructor and Teaching Assistant for various courses. EMT/ NREMT

Teaching EMS is something I genuinely love. As a Critical Care EMT with years of hands-on emergency experience, I've had the privilege of training over 200 people in First Aid and CPR as a certified BLS and Stop the Bleed Instructor. My experience as a Lieutenant and Preceptor includes leading critical care transports, training 50+ new EMTs - all of whom passed probation and NREMT exams - and developing protocols that improved emergency responses. I've taught campus First Aid courses while expanding EMS outreach to student groups. I know how to make complex EMS concepts click, whether it's patient assessment, test-taking strategies, or high-pressure decision-making. My goal is to help you succeed in class and in the field.
