I have six years of tutoring experience across math subjects from Algebra 1 through college Econometrics, and I'm completing a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics at Rhodes College (3.9+ GPA, graduating May 2026). I currently peer tutor Econometrics as a peer tutor at Rhodes and previously tutored undergraduate college Statistics. Before college, I spent four years working with high school students in AP Statistics, Precalculus, and Algebra 1 and 2.
My teaching philosophy centers on two things: pattern recognition and math muscle memory. Math at every level rewards students who can spot the underlying structure of a problem and apply a consistent approach, rather than attempting to reason through each problem separately. My goal in every session is to help students identify those patterns, practice them until they're instinctive, and build the kind of durable fluency which holds up under exam pressure and carries into future coursework.
My own quantitative work keeps me close to the material: my senior capstone applies econometric modeling to NHL free agent data, so I'm not teaching concepts I've left behind. I'm patient, kind, and genuinely enjoy working with students. Whether you're working through your first exposure to algebra or wrestling with econometrics, I'd love to help.
