I'm Courtney! My passion for facilitating learning experiences for children has imbued every aspect of my professional life from my cum laude degree in early childhood education and classroom experience as a lead preschool teacher to my career in children’s educational and trade book publishing.

I have had the privilege of creating and developing workbooks, supplemental educational materials, readers, and lesson plans for Scholastic, Random House, Learning A-Z, and Benchmark Education. I have also volunteered as a reading mentor with elementary students and have volunteered at a children's museum with preschool and early elementary-aged children.

I love making learning experiences fun and tailoring them to suit children's needs and interests. I would welcome the opportunity to support children and their families as they navigate the challenges of virtual learning.

I have developed educational materials that align with and support Common Core language arts standards as well as some state social studies standards.

I have developed, written, and edited educational and trade books for children as well as lesson plans and ancillary materials for teachers. I am also a freelance editor and proofreader.
