I began teaching at church as a young girl. This has grown into a lifelong passion to help others. I have taught young children in elementary school and I have taught at Community College. I enjoy interacting with each group. I have taught all the elementary subjects. The children have been my greatest teachers. They taught me to teach and to enjoy it.

My mother was my first teacher. She taught me, rooted for me, showed great patience as she taught, and maintained high expectations for me. This experience of having someone root for me, advocate for me, teach me with patience, and expect me to succeed, has colored my philosophy of teaching. I believe that every student can learn, and that I can have a tangible part in their success. I will therefore root for the student, advocate for them if necessary, work with them patiently and expect that they will do well.
