I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (summa cum laude) from the University of Detroit Mercy. While I initially planned to become a high school science teacher after completing my undergraduate studies, I ultimately chose to pursue graduate education at Cornell University. There, I earned both my Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Chemistry in 2022. During this time, I had invaluable opportunities to develop research-based expertise in the field. Some of my most memorable experiences in graduate school involved mentoring students and serving as a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses.
Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan. Outside of the research lab, I recently taught Organic Chemistry Laboratory at the University of Detroit Mercy. In this hands-on setting, students apply lecture-based knowledge through experiments. To master these techniques, patience and attention to detail is required. Observing students' growth and confidence build over the semester was incredibly rewarding.
With over 11 years of experience as a student, educator, and leader in chemistry, I am passionate about supporting students through tutoring. My goal is to help learners build confidence and strengthen their problem-solving skills in a personalized and approachable environment. Students are encouraged to share both their strengths and challenges, and I will tailor lessons to meet their individual needs. My primary focus is General and Organic Chemistry courses for college students and AP Chemistry for high school students. All tutoring sessions will be held online.
