I have an MaEd in Curriculum and Instruction Development with Computer Integration and a BA in Secondary Education, Political Science/Social Sciences

I am a former High School Teacher of five years teaching U.S./World History, Macro/Micro Economics, World Regional Geography, Current Events/United Nations, Internet research (8th Grade). I served as an advisor for: The National Honors Society, YMCA Michigan Youth in Government, and two graduating classes. I held after-school programs for students, parents, and other teachers to understand and more effectively use computers to organize and complete projects. I am proficient in MS Office Suite having used MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for training presentations and exercises. For the last ten years, I have been employed in a Systems IT Department for a large Private Company. Primary responsibilities: Project Management, Systems Analysis, QA, Documentation, and the preparation of training modules for in-house software. I have additional time spent in a technical support role and am able to resolve nearly any hardware/software related problem.
In addition to my professional adventures, I play the trumpet semi-professionally, and enjoy Pen and Ink Drawing. I can provide lessons in a wide range of contexts and mediums for art, and music theory as well as the performance arts. I have three children of my own (Elementary and Middle School) who all find Social Studies their favorite subjects.
