Dedicated Personalized Tutor Specializing in Psychology and History

Hi guys, I am a UMich Ann Arbor upper undergraduate student double majoring in Psychology and History and double minoring in Religious Studies and Anthropology. My job experience includes 3 years of private tutoring in all age groups in English, Psychology, History, Elementary Math, and General Homework help and 6 months as a Substitute Teacher Aide in Preschool and after-school programs at Elementary Schools, along with 6 months of tutoring in the ASVAB. I have a GPA of 3.6, with an A average in Psychology, Ethnic Studies, History, English, Statistics, and Anthropology courses. I passed AP U.S. History, Psychology, and Comp Lit. I have been on the President's and Vice President's Lists for my college.

I am client-orientated with my lessons. I have a base schedule, such as Opening Discussion: Review of Last Session Topics, Lecture, With 3 Mid-Way Discussions, Worksheet, Quiz, Ending discussion, and optional homework if interested. However, I created different schedules based on your needs.

My two vital personality traits are passion and dedication. My career goal is to become a therapist for adolescents eventually, but my life goal has always been to help people with anything I can, even in the small things I do daily. That is why I am a passionate tutor; I see it as me helping other students! Plus, I am passionate about all my chosen subjects, especially Psychology.

As someone who is dedicated, I am also extremely patient, and I do not give up easily. I won't give up on you. I firmly believe that everyone is "smart" but at different things. If you require more time on specific topics, I will be with you at your pace. If you are better at particular issues and flying through them, I will reevaluate my lesson plans, challenge you, and move at your pace. I am big on constructive feedback, which looks like this: 1 thing you excelled at and why, one thing you did okay at, why and what you can improve, and one thing you didn't quite grasp, with feedback for improvement.
