I earned my PhD in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 2022 and have developed a strong passion for teaching economics, statistics, mathematics, and programming over the past decade. At a Teaching Assistant at Vanderbilt, I helped students learn difficult concepts and work through problems in a variety of courses. I have also achieved a 5-star rating from over 900 hours of lessons on Wyzant, and have tutored for over a decade in various capacities.

I earned my PhD in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 2022 and have developed a strong passion for teaching economics, statistics, mathematics, and programming over the past decade. At a Teaching Assistant at Vanderbilt, I helped students learn difficult concepts and work through problems in a variety of courses. I have also achieved a 5-star rating from over 900 hours of lessons on Wyzant, and have tutored for over a decade in various capacities.
My teaching philosophy is informed by the intimate learning settings I experienced at Colorado College, where small class sizes were invaluable to my success. Combined with my subsequent PhD coursework and extensive tutoring track record, these experiences leave me uniquely suited to provide exemplary assistance to students struggling with economics and related courses. Students learn in a variety of ways and there are also common areas of difficulty. I request (and strongly suggest) that students send me their course materials before our first lesson, and I come to every lesson prepared with alternative explanations to those received in lecture. I also point out where these topics are discussed in their notes to help students learn to decipher key takeaways. Such guidance is critical to empower my clients to more effectively study independently in the future. Engaging with students across the country and abroad has also given me a unique perspective into how course content and grading expectations vary across universities and colleges of various caliber.
I tutor students at all levels including high school, undergraduate, masters and professional degrees, and PhD. I am happy to tutor students in any timezone, and am available weekday evenings (eastern time) and over the weekend. Please reach out, I am happy to help!

As a research economist, I use STATA all of the time for my work and have built a large knowledge base of its intricacies. I have assisted many students with STATA and almost always see improvements and receive positive feedback. I have found that the best way for students to learn coding is a combination of seeing how I code (through screen and code sharing) and having them try to tackle the code as well (sharing their screen with me).
