I’m an art historian who loves helping students discover that art history is really the story of people: what they believed, feared, celebrated, and traded. I earned a BA in Art History and Curatorial Studies and a BA in European Studies from Brigham Young University, and I am now completing an MA at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. I grew up in Paris and am fluent in French and English, which gives me a firsthand connection to many of the museums, works, and movements students study.

My teaching experience comes from both the classroom and the gallery. As a Teaching Assistant for a university Survey of Asian Art course, I wrote the course’s exams and quizzes, worked with students one on one and in review sessions, and gave feedback on their writing, so I know exactly what art history tests look for. As a Museum Educator and Tour Coordinator at the BYU Museum of Art, I led tours for school groups, families, religious groups, college students, and adult visitors, teaching each audience to look closely at a work of art and talk about it with confidence. I have also done original research, including fieldwork in Tahiti and a symposium presentation on a Spanish Baroque painting, so I can guide students through research papers from finding sources to building an argument.
I tutor students from 6th grade through adulthood, and I adjust my approach to each one. With younger students, I focus on curiosity and observation, using images, stories, and simple questions to build confidence. With high school and college students, I help with AP Art History, exam preparation, image identification, essays, and research projects. With adult learners, I follow your interests, whether that’s a period, a museum visit, or collecting. In every session my goal is to help you look carefully, think critically, and explain what you see in your own words. I’d love to help you get started!
