Hi! I'm Wenjia, but you can call me Jason. I am a chemistry student at the University of Michigan (3.91 GPA) with a strong math background going back through high school competition math. I competed at the regional and state level and co-headed my high school's math team — so I know how to make challenging topics approachable for students at any level.

I wish to specialize in SAT/ACT math (with a highest SAT math score of 780), and high school math (pre-calc through calculus II). I've also tutored and mentored younger students through my high school math team — I work best with students around my age or a little younger. I've also worked at a math contest internship, written 75+ math problems for students, and served as a teaching assistant for virtual math and geometry lessons for middle school students there. I have also taken calculus classes in high school up to calculus II, and I have also taken both differential equations and vector calculus classes in university. Through my experience, I try to break topics like calculus into small, reachable steps rather than being intimidated by unfamiliar expressions or methods.
I am also capable of chemistry tutoring, particularly organic chemistry. As a chemistry major at the University of Michigan, I have taken particularly challenging and insightful introductory and intermediate organic chemistry classes and laboratories. I have worked closely with fellow students and one-on-one with my friend, and I understand just how interconnected structure, function, and reactivity are in relevant organic chemical reactions. I like to explain chemistry concepts through examples and analogies, something that often allows more understanding to be made from abstract chemical structures.
