Hello! My name is Armaan, and I am a 4th-year MD candidate at the University of Michigan Medical School. I passed USMLE Step 1 and scored a 270 (95th percentile) on Step 2. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a 4.0 in Biomolecular Science, and received honors in all my core clerkships as a medical student.
While I primarily focus on USMLE Step 1 and Step 2, I have over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with students from high school through medical school. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, I served for three years as a study group facilitator at the Science Learning Center, teaching biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. During medical school, although I have primarily helped prepare students for USMLE exams, I have also helped students with the SAT, ACT, and MCAT.
My approach to USMLE tutoring goes beyond content review. I specialize in helping students understand how to think through questions, especially when answer explanations from NBME resources or AI tools are not enough. My goal is to help you study more effectively by identifying the highest-yield resources, mastering frequently tested concepts, and organizing your knowledge when you feel that you just can't get over the hump on your practice exams.
During our first session, I will create a personalized study plan tailored to your schedule and goals. We will track your performance on question banks and NBME exams to identify weaknesses and target them efficiently. I also spend time reviewing common pitfalls that repeatedly appear plague students on the USMLE.
I value building a strong working relationship with my students so I can adapt to their learning style and provide individualized support. Whether your exam is in two weeks or two months, I am committed to helping you maximize your score and reach your goals. I look forward to working with you!
