As I progressed through my bachelor's degree in biochemical neuroscience, I also began tutoring college students in all fields of biology and chemistry. My favorite subject to teach was organic chemistry, since most students found this to be their most challenging course. My tutoring experience in college was a mix of classroom, small group, and one-on-one settings, and my goal was always to cultivate a passion for the subject that would drive my students to excel in their courses.
I graduated college with a 4.0 GPA in 2023 and enrolled in dental school. I was elected to be Education Chair, which entailed designing study materials and providing academic support in didactic courses to my peers. After my first year of dental school, I was invited to become a tutor for the classes below me, which I gladly accepted. Since then, I have been tutoring my fellow dental students in preclinical and didactic courses.
