I am currently a Biology major on the pre-med track at the University of Michigan, where I maintain a 4.0 GPA. I graduated from Lincoln Park High School as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma student with a 5.01 GPA. Through the IB program, I completed rigorous coursework in advanced sciences, math, and writing, which strengthened both my academic skills and study habits.
For my IB Extended Essay, I designed and conducted an independent research study on cardiovascular physiology, analyzing how hydration affects systolic blood pressure before and after exercise. This experience strengthened my understanding of biology, data analysis, and scientific writing, and taught me how to clearly explain complex concepts.
While I have not held a formal paid tutoring position, I regularly supported classmates and teammates with coursework, study planning, and concept review in both one-on-one and small group settings. As a team MVP and 3x All-American in cross country and track, I developed leadership, communication, and mentorship skills that translate directly into tutoring.
Additionally, my experience volunteering at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and patiently with individuals of different ages and backgrounds.
I am especially qualified to tutor middle school through high school students in biology, general science, introductory chemistry, math, and academic writing. My approach focuses on breaking down complex material into manageable steps, reinforcing foundational concepts, and building student confidence alongside academic understanding.
