Bio

Hello! My name is CT, and I am passionate about helping students unlock their full academic potential. I tutor because I believe that with the right guidance and support, any challenging subject can be mastered and even enjoyed. My own epiphany moments in learning were fueled by educators who were not only experts but also incredibly supportive mentors. I strive to be that same kind of positive influence for my students, building their confidence alongside their skills.

I am currently a senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a B.S in Neuroscience. This academic foundation is backed by 3 years of hands-on tutoring experience. I have worked extensively with students in Biochem, Chemistry, Anatomy, Physics, and Biology, helping them to improve their grades and, more importantly, their understanding. For example, I spent 3 years working at the SLC (Science Learning Center) at Umich, where I taught in groups, either online or in person at the SLC, either facilitating the learning and just guiding them through the material, usually in larger groups (20-25 people) or by actively teaching the concepts to slightly smaller large groups. (10-15 people). I also held 1 on 1 sessions in online or in person (in the SLC) if students preferred to. My teaching method is flexible and student-centered. A typical session begins with a quick review to solidify previous learning, followed by a clear, structured introduction of the new topic. We then work through problems together before you try them independently, ensuring you grasp the material conceptually and procedurally. I welcome resources and goals from both students and parents to make our sessions as effective as possible.

I open and ready to answer any questions you may have for me, and you may reach out before the study session to set up goals, methods/tools, etc. I am easy to reach and provide prompt responses. I am excited to help you build a strong foundation and achieve your academic goals! Please contact me to learn more or to schedule our first lesson.

ACT Science

ACT Science

I have extensive experience tutoring ACT Science, with a strong focus on data interpretation, experimental design, and scientific reasoning. My background in neuroscience and biology has given me a solid foundation in analyzing research summaries, conflicting viewpoints, and data representation passages. I specialize in teaching students how to quickly extract key information from graphs and tables, identify trends, and apply scientific logic under time constraints. My goal is to help students boost both accuracy and speed so they can feel confident on test day.
Anatomy

Anatomy

I am a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Neuroscience, with extensive coursework in human anatomy, physiology, and related biological sciences. I have over 1,500 hours of combined research and tutoring experience, including hands-on laboratory work studying human neuroanatomy and histology. I have successfully helped peers and underclassmen master complex anatomical systems, from cellular structures to organ-level physiology. My teaching style emphasizes clear explanations, visual aids, and step-by-step problem-solving to build lasting understanding and confidence.
Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I am a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Neuroscience, with extensive training in biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics. I have completed advanced coursework in biochemistry and have over 1,500 hours of research experience focused on gene regulation, protein function, and enzymatic pathways. I have successfully tutored peers in complex biochemistry concepts such as metabolic pathways, enzyme kinetics, and molecular interactions. My tutoring style emphasizes breaking down difficult concepts into clear, logical steps and applying them to real-world biological systems.
Biology

Biology

I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan with a strong foundation in cellular, molecular, and organismal biology. I have over 200 hours of experience tutoring biology, helping students excel in introductory and advanced courses. My background includes extensive coursework and laboratory experience in genetics, physiology, and biochemistry. I specialize in breaking down complex biological concepts into clear, understandable explanations tailored to each student’s learning style.
Genetics

Genetics

I am a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Neuroscience with a focus on neurobiology and epigenetics. I have over 1,500 hours of research experience studying genetic and epigenetic regulation, including work on the PRDM1 gene and its role in pediatric radiation response. My coursework has included advanced genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry, and I consistently excel in these subjects. I also have extensive experience tutoring peers in genetics and related life sciences, helping them master complex concepts and improve their exam performance.
MCAT

MCAT

I made a 523 on the MCAT after studying for over 800 hours on it. I know and have used just about every resource available for the MCAT, so I can definitely assist and guide anyone on the how to succeed on the MCAT.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I am a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Neuroscience with a focus on neurobiology and epigenetics. I have over 1,500 hours of research experience, including work on gene regulation and neural development, and I have completed advanced coursework in neuroanatomy, molecular neuroscience, and systems neuroscience. I have extensive experience tutoring peers in neuroscience, helping them understand complex topics like neural signaling, brain anatomy, and molecular pathways. My approach emphasizes breaking down difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps to build strong foundational understanding.
Sociology

Sociology

I am a senior at the University of Michigan majoring in Neuroscience and have completed multiple upper-level sociology courses with high achievement, including courses on social behavior, inequality, and cultural dynamics. My background allows me to connect sociological theories with real-world applications, helping students build both conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. I have experience tutoring peers in introductory and advanced sociology topics, focusing on breaking down complex theories into clear, relatable examples. My goal is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages students to analyze social systems thoughtfully and confidently.
