Bio

Hi! I am currently a postdoctoral assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Michigan. I’ve taught precalculus, calculus, and multivariable/vector calculus at UMich, and have been passionate about teaching since I began tutoring as an undergraduate back in 2010.

I completed my PhD in mathematics at the University of British Columbia in 2022, where I also earned master's degrees in both mathematics and physics. In 2024–25, I was honored to receive a teaching award (an IBL...

In 2024–25, I was honored to receive a teaching award (an IBL Fellowship) from UMich, recognizing my dedication to helping students learn deeply and think critically.

Whether you're looking for support in algebra, precalculus, calculus, or SAT/ACT math, or want to explore higher-level topics like linear algebra, topology, or geometry, I’d be happy to help! I tailor sessions to each student’s goals and aim to make abstract concepts feel clear and approachable.

Feel free to reach out—I'd love to help you build confidence and success in math!

ACT Math

ACT Math

I help students get comfortable and confident with the types of math questions that show up on the ACT. We’ll go over the key topics like algebra, geometry, and a bit of trigonometry, and focus on smart strategies to save time and avoid common mistakes. Whether you're aiming for a big score jump or just trying to get through the math section with less stress, I’ll meet you where you are and help you improve.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I’ve taught a wide range of math courses, from precalculus to multivariable calculus, and have been tutoring since 2010. I know how foundational Algebra 1 is, and I excel at breaking down concepts like solving equations, working with functions, and graphing in a way that builds both understanding and confidence. Whether you're catching up or aiming to get ahead, I can help you master the material and succeed.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I’ve taught a wide range of math courses, from precalculus to multivariable calculus, and have been tutoring since 2010. I know how foundational Algebra 2 is, and I excel at breaking down concepts like solving equations, working with functions, and graphing in a way that builds both understanding and confidence. Whether you're catching up or aiming to get ahead, I can help you master the material and succeed.
Calculus

Calculus

I have a deep understanding of calculus and years of experience helping students succeed in it (both with tutoring and teaching at the University of Michigan). I’m skilled at explaining concepts like limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem in a way that’s clear and tailored to each student’s level. I’ve worked with students in AP Calculus AB/BC, college calculus, and multivariable courses, and I know how to break down complex problems so they actually make sense. My goal is to help students not just get through calculus, but truly understand it.
Geometry

Geometry

Geometry can be tough when it feels like a long list of rules, formulas, and confusing proofs. As a professional mathematician, I actually work in geometry myself, and aim to help students see the logic behind it all. From triangles and transformations, to proofs and parallel lines, I break things down in a way that actually makes sense. I've helped students of all levels improve their grades and feel more confident tackling problems. If you're looking for patient and clear geometry help, I’ve got you covered.
GRE

GRE

I specialize in GRE Math preparation, bringing a deep understanding of the test and its strategies from my recent experience in graduate school. As a math PhD, I help students break down important problems into clear, manageable steps, whether it's algebra, geometry, or data analysis. I’ve worked with students at all levels to boost their confidence and scores. If you want focused, expert help on the quant section, I’d be glad to guide you.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I have extensive experience helping students master the core concepts of linear algebra, from solving systems of equations to understanding vector spaces, matrices, and transformations. I can guide you through topics like row reduction, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, change of basis, diagonalization, and beyond. Whatever your standing is in linear algebra, I tailor explanations to your level and learning style to build deep understanding.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I’ve taught a wide range of math courses, from precalculus to multivariable calculus, and have been tutoring since 2010. I know how foundational precalculus is, and I excel at breaking down concepts like solving equations, working with functions, and graphing in a way that builds both understanding and confidence. Whether you're catching up or aiming to get ahead, I can help you master the material and succeed.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is a subject where many students get stuck, but with the right explanations, it can become much more intuitive. I focus on building a clear understanding of key concepts like the unit circle, trig identities, and function graphs, rather than just memorizing formulas. Whether you're preparing for a test or working through a full course, I’ll help you break down complex problems and approach them with confidence.
