Hi, my name is Madison. I graduated summa cum laude from Michigan State University with my BA in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science. During my time at MSU I worked as a TA for PSY302 (Sensation & Perception) where I created review sessions and taught psychology, neuropsychology, neuroanatomy, and cognition concepts to students. I also worked as a research assistant during my time as a undergrad where I learned how to encode qualitative data, use statistical analysis software, clean data, peer review journal articles, conduct literature review, and creating and presenting a research poster at a research fair. I also studied abroad for a semester (in Fall of 2025) at the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK. Through these experiences I have discovered a passion for research in psychology, specifically concerning cognition, trauma, and psychosis.
Additionally, I worked as a behavior technician for kids aged 2-21 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I worked 1:1 with children with varying needs and a wide variety of learning disorders. There were many instances where I had to find alternative ways to explain concepts to students who struggled in order to keep them on track. It was incredibly gratifying to see even little improvements in these kiddos.
I strive to help any student as much as possible and am open to using resources or suggestions from parents and students to make my tutoring sessions as productive as possible for each student's unique needs and learning style.
