After graduating from Yale (BA History and E. Asian Studies) and Harvard (Ed. M), I taught World History for 8 years at Boston Latin School, America's oldest high school and an exam school for 7-12 graders. One year I also taught introductory Chinese.
Since then, I've worked in non-profits as project coordinator and taught my children Mandarin Chinese (elementary to high school: speaking, listening, writing, and reading). I've guided my children through the college admission process, editing and proofreading essays. Previous students, friends, and their children have asked me to edit their application essays, novel drafts, curriculum material, etc. with demonstrable results.
Currently, I serve as an English Language Aide, working with elementary and middle school English language learners. Along with this role, I am a Bilingual Liaison to Chinese families, interpret meetings between families and school staff members and translate written materials.
I'm excited to use my skills to help future students take their studies to the next level. I'm available for questions and feedback and look forward to meeting you!
