Hello, my name is Elinor. I am a graduate of Grand Valley State University and currently a second year medical student at Wayne State University School of Medicine. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. In addition, I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics. I have been working as a private tutor for six years and have two years of tutoring experience for Grand Valley in their Chemistry Success Center. I have worked with students of all ages and at all ability levels to help them achieve their goals and increase their understanding.
In addition to my work as a tutor, I am a pre-medical student who has earned my EMT license and I have successfully completed the MCAT with a score of 515. I would love to provide insight into the application process for medical school if interested.
Having experience with all ages of students, I am prepared to work with students from middle school to college in subjects ranging from beginning chemistry to college biochemistry. I welcome information provided by the teacher/professor as well as any notes or problems that can help inform my preparation for our sessions. I welcome both consistent, scheduled tutoring sessions as well as sessions on an as-needed basis, however I request at least 36 hours heads up to try to find a time that fits my schedule.
